Ontrack interview: Meet Strategic BD Manager, Stuart Burrows

20 November 2019 by Tilly Holland

How long have you worked at Ontrack?

Almost nine years.

What do you think makes Ontrack different from its competitors?

You may think it’s a cheesy answer, but genuinely it’s our people - the combined knowledge we have and the way we work together. Collaboration and teamwork is the best way to innovate and thrive as a company, and I believe we do this very well.

What trends do you see in the market?

We are seeing a lot more mobile devices and clients thinking more about how they can protect their data by being on a pre-paid plan. In products, our tape services are doing well. Finding the right partners who can talk about our legacy tape restore services as they facilitate their client’s needs for restoring legacy data, which helps them sell their new backup solution.

Why do you think Ontrack is such a great place to work?

I love the variety, complexity and change of pace of the work while having a ‘family feel’ culture. No day is the same, and there’s always something new happening.

What’s your favourite film?

Remember the Titans/ Old School

What’s your favourite food?

Burger and chips are my go-to, but you can’t beat a good steak.

What are your hobbies?

I play American Football (Berkshire Renegades) and Rugby (Sutton & Epsom Extra B’s). I like my contact sports (or any sports really), and I go to the gym regularly to keep in shape. I also love music and travelling, so try to see a few gigs/shows and see a couple of different countries per year.
