Kroll Ontrack enhances its online review tool with a new early data assessment module

Ontrack Inview analysis module to further streamline the e-discovery process, enabling legal teams to better forecast litigation costs

Minneapolis – Feb. 2, 2009 – Kroll Ontrack®, the industry's largest provider of paper and electronic discovery, computer forensics, ESI consulting, and courtroom and presentation services, today announced the launch of Ontrack® Inview Analysis Module, an early data assessment service that helps legal teams streamline e-discovery by providing early visibility into case data before data processing and review begins.

Utilizing leading-edge search and advanced visualization capabilities, users can reduce large data sets into smaller, more relevant sets of documents before incurring processing and review costs. By decreasing the size of document sets to include only the most relevant items, while effectively verifying non-relevant documents, legal teams can gain control and significantly reduce the time and expense associated with e-discovery and litigation.

The Ontrack Inview Analysis Module offers advanced features including concept searching, topic grouping, visualization analytics and powerful keyword searching capabilities, commonly found within Kroll Ontrack's award-winning Web-based document review tool, Ontrack Inview. These capabilities enable users to gain a window into case themes, relevant custodians, key time frames and critical communication patterns within data sets. In addition, the service is hosted in Kroll Ontrack's state-of-the-art facilities, saving users time and money associated with IT administration, hardware configuration, specialized software, or license fees incurred with similar enterprise software tools. Finally, identified key custodians and documents can seamlessly be uploaded into a separate Ontrack Inview review database within a short time period for legal review.

"In this current economic landscape, corporations and their counsel are increasingly trying to gain the most value of their shrinking budgets when it comes to preparing for litigation," said Michele Lange, Esq., Director of Legal Technologies at Kroll Ontrack. "These new early data assessment features allow users to gain efficiencies and reduce expenses in e-discovery by analyzing massive amounts of e-mail and documents before data processing decisions are made and a review team is convened. Furthermore, users will not waste any time between analysis and review once potentially relevant data is identified, as the data can be quickly processed and moved into our award-winning document review platform."

The launch of the Ontrack Inview Analysis Module is a global deployment with general availability in both the United States and the United Kingdom starting March 2009. For more information visit
