Ontrack releases Ontrack PowerControls 9.0 featuring updated support for Microsoft software

Ontrack continues to invest in Ontrack PowerControls for its customers by supporting customer deployments of newer Microsoft platforms

Epsom, 19 April, 2017 - Ontrack, the data recovery and data storage technologies arm of KLDiscovery, today released a significant update to their Ontrack® PowerControls™ software that is used to search, recover, restore and manage data in Microsoft® Exchange, Office 365, Microsoft® Office SharePoint® and  Microsoft® SQL Server® environments. 

“This update to Ontrack PowerControls enhances our customers’ experience by adding support for the most recent Microsoft software updates,” said John Grancarich, vice president of product development at KLDiscovery. “By supporting the newest versions of Microsoft software, we are showing that we are committed to technology excellence and our customers’ needs.”

Administrators of Ontrack PowerControls will now have the ability to maximise their search, recover and restore capabilities within these Microsoft software products:

  • SharePoint Server 2016
  • SQL Server 2016
  • Windows Server 2016
  • Office 2016
  • Outlook 2016

Office 365 is also included in the update and was added in the last revision of Ontrack PowerControls to support cloud data and legacy versions of Microsoft software.

Ontrack PowerControls has expanded support for SQL backups by adding new backup formats for an increased amount of precision and efficiency when restoring data. As the use of the cloud for data storage increases, Ontrack continues to provide new capabilities, including supporting SQL Azure as a target in Ontrack PowerControls 9.0.
